Objective
For this project we were tasked to create a visually appealing “gig” poster for a band of our choice, in a specific decade art style.
Process
The design elements and look were open ended, so I decided to pick the band Greta Van Fleet. To begin, I did research on the 70s art style, the band and their aesthetic, and I sketched out a plan. Then, I took my ideas to Adobe Illustrator and I hand drew each member, each design, and carefully selected the typefaces and placements for the typography. I played around with the placement of elements, and ended up with a very visually appealing 70s poster.
